At a time when a career was just a dream for most women, Nadia Payot was making her mark as one of Europe's first female doctors. In 1920, Dr Payot developed her first products in her Paris apartment using raw ingredients sourced from herbalists. Creme No.2, amongst other products, was created in her kitchen which served as her laboratory. Skilfully formulated, some of these original products achieved 'cult' status and continue to remain an integral part in the PAYOT line up of products.

Dr Payot went on to devise the first facial exercises, carried out with the use of a skin care product specific to each skin type. The concept involves working each muscle in a series of coordinated movements as Dr Payot believed that the 'face is the mirror of the soul', a reflection of our inner life that deserves attentive care.

Throughout the years ahead, Dr Payot achieve many milestones, including the opening of her first institute in Paris, writing books for aestheticians, the invention of the medi-spa, and the first school for beauty therapists in 1947. Dr Payot's methodologies went on to become the benchmark for the beauty and skin care industry.

Dr Nadia Payot's legacy lives on, PAYOT Laboratories continue to develop cutting edge products exclusively available in premium day spas and beauty salons around the world.
