Finally, the opportunity for teens or those with younger skin to use well researched skin care designed to meet their needs, but with the same pedigree as the usual adult skincare. My teen years are long gone but I was still super excited when I discovered the launch of the new Clean Start range from Dermalogica. Since becoming quite a huge Dermalogica fan myself, and having tried numerous products without ever being disappointed, when I had the opportunity to score some samples of this range I had no hesitation about putting them to the test. This cleanser has a gel like consistency that requires a little shake to combine all of the contents before use. It is a little on the runny side but you only need a small amount to work up to a nice frothy, foamy lather. The scent is an uplifting, refreshing citrus aroma that I love in the mornings to really wake up me and my skin. After washing with this cleanser my face feels incredibly clean and hydrated without being taut or dry. It does contain salicylic acid, which in my opinion is the most efficient ‘pimple fighting’ ingredient that gets down deep into the pores, to clear congestion and wipe out the bacteria that causes breakouts. It also works a treat to regulate oil production if you have oily skin like mine. It contains no artificial fragrance or colours so it does not irritate my sensitive skin, it is gentle and is suitable for all skin types. It actually soothes and calms pimples while at the same time reducing the redness. This cleanser is also handy for using on your back, chest or neck if you happen to suffer from acne or breakouts in these areas too. It does a good job of removing all traces of my makeup, even the Invisible Zinc, which can be stubborn and impossible to budge with most cleansers just not cutting it. I highly recommend this cleanser for teens (or their adult counterparts) who suffer from acne or even just monthly hormonal breakouts like I do. If you are in the market for an effective zit zapping cleanser to get rid of troublesome pimples, or even as a maintenance measure to prevent them forming, then this salicylic based cleanser will slough off dead skin cells, regulate oily skin and leave you with a fresh, clean flawless complexion. I have no doubt at all that this cleanser will fight the fight in the war against pimples and come out the winner.

best face wash i have ever used... keeps my pimples away more than any other product i have used for the last 10 years!!!
