This is a dual purpose cleanser, targeted toward anti-ageing and improving the condition and health of the skin. The consistency of this cleanser is very runny, much like a cleansing 'milk', which I'm not used to. I couldn't be sure whether I was using enough product to adequately cleanse my skin. I did experience a slight tingling sensation, which told me that the cleanser was doing it's job. It's main active ingredients are glycolic and lactic acid, both powerful and effective exfoliant's. Developed mainly to combat the signs of ageing, this cleanser also has a myriad of other benefits, including an improvement in skin texture, resulting in softer, smoother skin. Skin tone and clarity are also improved, becoming more uniform in colour. Another benefit is a reduction in breakouts, as the skin is constantly being exfoliated, and fresh new skin cells emerge, making the complexion clearer and more radiant. Coconut oil and Shea Butter moisturise the skin, keeping it soft and supple.

Absolutely love this product! Have been using it for over a month now and although my skin is quite resilient, I noticed a mild reaction to the glycolic and lactic acid in the first week, but my skin has visibly improved and feels incredibly soft. Very impressed!

I would recommend to go easy and use at intervals during the first week, then use it daily. I'm very keen to try other Alpha products, the result was noticeable within just days. I was also specifically looking for a cleanser with lactic acid as my skin treatment specialist recommend it for 40+ skin; great for plump and hydrated skin. Very happy with the result as I look forward to the tingly sensation on my skin mornings and evenings!
